No, but eLayaway and QMx encourage our customers to be responsible while using the eLayaway system.
Can I access my payment and purchase information?
You can view and manage all of your account information online 24/7. Simply login at eLayaway.com using the e-mail address and password you created during registration.
How do I change my personal information?
You can change your personal information online. Log in to your account at eLayaway.com using your e-mail address and password you created during registration, then click on "My Account" and then "Edit My Profile."
Do I have to remember to make my eLayaway payments?
No. Your payments are automatically deducted from your bank account on the payment schedule you selected.
How often do I make my eLayaway payments?
Once per month.
What happens if my bank account does not have sufficient funds to make the payment?
After the original payment is declined, your account will be placed on hold. You will then have 7 days to bring your account up to date. After that, your account will be “In Default,” and you will be sent back the money you have paid minus the cancellation fee (see eLayaway Terms & Conditions for details).
No. There is no fee for canceling your standard eLayaway membership account.
Are shipping and taxes included in the layaway amount?
Yes. For your convenience we include the shipping and taxes in the total layaway amount.
How do I cancel my eLayaway membership account?
To cancel your eLayaway account, please call eLayaway toll-free at 1.888.215.3999 and a representative will assist you.
Is there a fee associated with canceling a transaction?
Yes. When a transaction is canceled, eLayaway charges consumers either $25 or 10% of the price of the item placed on layaway, whichever is less. The remaining balance is returned to the consumer's bank account.
What happens if my payments don't go through?
If your account has more than one consecutive unsuccessful payment, your order will be canceled according to our cancellation policy (see above).
Are there any fees associated with returned payments?
Yes. There is a $5 charge per unsuccessful payment.

The eLayaway membership is free. However, if you would like to upgrade to the eLayaway Advantage membership, it costs $8.95 per month. (A free eLayaway standard account is all that's required to make a purchase on the Quantum Mechanix website.)
How does eLayaway work?
eLayaway is an automated payment system that utilizes ACH (Automated Clearing House) technology provided by HSBC Bank. After selecting a product and payment schedule, your payments are automatically deducted from your bank account until the purchase is completed. Once the purchase is completed, your product will be shipped as if you'd just made the purchase. In the case of build-to-order Artisan products, construction on your replica will begin when the final eLayway payment is made.
What is ACH?
ACH (Automated Clearing House) technology is an electronic system used to facilitate the transfer of funds between banking institutions. eLayaway utilizes ACH to automatically debit layaway payments directly from your bank account.
Do I have to obtain credit approval to use eLayaway?
No. eLayaway does not accept credit payments, so a credit check is unnecessary.
Do I need a bank account to use eLayaway?
Yes, a bank account with a bank routing number is required to make purchases with the eLayaway system. At this time, that bank must also be able to transfer funds in U.S. currency. (All U.S. banks and some international banks have this capability. We recommend international customers check with their bank.)
What is the most expensive item that can be bought using eLayaway?
The eLayaway system does not have a purchase price limit.
How do I make a purchase?
First, find a product on the QMx website with the "eLayaway" logo displayed on the product page. Add the product to your cart. When you go to check out, click the “eLayaway Now” button under payment options. You will be transferred to the eLayaway website to set up your account (unless you already have an eLayaway account) and a payment schedule for that item. You will be returned to the QMx website when your eLayaway transaction is completed.
How much does it cost to use eLayaway?
eLayaway charges a one-time transaction fee of 1.9% on the layaway total with a minimum fee of $2.00. That’s only $1.90 for every $100 spent. QMx does not get a share of the eLayaway transaction fee and offers this service to our customers at no additional charge.
Is my money secure with eLayaway?
eLayaway has partnered with HSBC to keep your money safe. HSBC is an FDIC-insured bank with more than two trillion dollars in assets.
What is the maximum amount of payments I can make?
QMx has set a maximum of 18 monthly payments for any item purchased through our website using eLayaway.
What fees are associated with eLayaway?
The only fee associated with an eLayaway purchase is a 1.9% transaction fee that is charged to the customer with a minimum fee of $2.00. There may also be cancellation fees (see Cancellation Policyabove).
Are there any hidden fees or costs?
No, the fee schedule is clearly marked on the eLayaway web site.
What is the difference between eLayaway and a credit account?
A credit account requires qualification by means of a credit check. Credit accounts also have limits and interest charges. eLayaway does not require a credit check, has no limit and absolutely no interest.
Can I use a credit card to pay for my eLayaway purchase?
No. eLayaway processes payments through a process called ACH. ACH is a secure method of electronically transferring funds from your bank’s account.
Do I have to pay a security deposit to use eLayaway?
No. QMx has chosen not to charge our customers a security deposit on their layaway purchases. We offer eLayaway as a sensible alternative to credit because we want our customers to stay financially secure and not overextend themselves, even as they strive to acquire items of their heart's desire. Imposing a security deposit will only make affording our products that much more difficult and just doesn't seem fair to us.
Can I change my payment information after I have initiated my purchase using eLayaway?
Yes. However, all payment information changes must be made at least 48 hours prior to a scheduled payment date. Please contact eLayaway if you need to make any payment information changes within 48 hours of a scheduled payment.
What currencies does eLayaway accept?
At this time eLayaway only accept U.S. dollars. However, the relationship with HSBC will eventually allow eLayaway to accept international currencies as well.
Yes. eLayaway.com and its payment module are secured by a 256-bit SSL Certificate. This certificate establishes an encrypted link between our secure server and your web browser. This ensures that all information passed to eLayaway remains private.
How safe is the eLayaway payment system compared to others that are available?
eLayaway offers the highest level of security features you can find with any payment process provider. Also, the process of paying multiple payments before products are shipped is a deterrent for someone looking to commit identity fraud.
The eLayaway system holds customer sensitive information. What measures are taken to ensure that is safe from hackers?
