Our 1:18 scale filming-quality miniature is being offered in three editions: Adama Edition, Starbuck Edition and Fleet Edition. The limit has been set for 500 replicas per edition.

Amazing Details

The QMx Viper Mark II Artisan Replica boasts a cockpit chock full of hand-cut details, including gauges, data screens, throttle, ejection seat, and seat belts with fabric belts and metalized buckles. But the pièce de résistance of the QMx Viper is the active, working DRADIS a 9/16 OLED (organic light-emitting diode) video display of the remote sensing system in action, displaying the actual DRADIS video used in Battlestar Galactica. The canopy can be opened for an optimal view of the cockpit and this first-ever digital model effect.

In addition, the ship's three rear engines feature a pulsating lighting effect that is randomized using a white-noise generator.

It takes our artisans about 50 hours to hand assemble the 140 parts that go into this spirited fighter, hand layering 18 different colors of paint, and adding special decals and hand-painted stencils.

Ship Models

Choose from three models:

Adama Edition. Signed by Edward James Olmos, who portrayed Admiral William Adama, this Viper features an analog gauge flight package and the call sign, Husker (the Husker call sign is only available in this edition). Admiral Adama piloted his Viper as a lieutenant; thus, this Artisan Replica has the look of a museum-restored piece. Customization is not an option for this classic version.

The Adama Edition comes complete with a 1:1 scale screen-accurate replica of the young lieutenant's dog tags, rendered in solid brass. (To view the Adama Edition teaser video on YouTube, click here.)

Starbuck Edition. (Sold Out)Signed by Katee Sackhoff, who took on the role of Captain Kara Thrace, this more modern Viper sports a digital control panel that helped guide Starbuck on countless missions. Faint recon images of the Eye of Jupiter will occasionally flash on this Viper's (and only this Viper's) DRADIS readout. Battle ready, this model has a weathered finish and Starbuck's call sign on the sides of the cockpit (only available on the Starbuck Edition). Customization is not an option for this updated version.

The Starbuck Edition comes complete with a 1:1 scale screen-accurate replica of the bloody dog tag found in the remains of her wrecked Viper on Earth, complete with her wedding ring. (To view the Starbuck Edition teaser video on YouTube, click here.)

Fleet Edition. This is the choice for collectors who want to put their own mark on their Viper. The Fleet Edition is the only edition where you can customize* your ship, with a choice of:

Although every Artisan replica we make is, in a real sense, an edition of one, we understand having an edition number is very important to collectors. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PREORDERS, THE BUILD-TO-ORDER PROCESS & RESTOCKING FEES

Depending on the current backlog in build orders, customers can expect orders to take up to 90 days to be fulfilled once their build begins. The speed with which your build will start will depend on the number of customers ahead of you in the build queue.

When you purchase an item as a preorder, funds are collected immediately and placed into escrow until your replica is ready to ship. You will be notified when the creation of your replica is about to begin, and you are entitled to a full refund up until that point, if you decide to cancel your order. If you change your mind about your Viper Mark II before we start construction on it, please let us know, and we will make your replica available to another customer and refund your money.

Edition numbers will be issued based on when orders are placed.

All orders include mandatory insurance already factored into the shipping charge. QMx is not responsible for any tariffs or import fees levied on international shipments. We highly recommend our international customers factor in any local customs fees that might be applied at the product's destination.

A restocking fee of 20 percent may be deducted from the refund of a QMx Artisan product that is returned and has not incurred material damage and is not missing components included in the original shipment. Note that shipping costs may not be refunded.

For a product that has been damaged after delivery, you may be charged an additional restocking fee of either 25 percent or 50 percent of the original purchase price based on the severity of the damage.

In a word stunning. It really is a work of art. Pictures do not do this justice at all IMO. Came packed in a nice wooden crate with BSG stenciling and including a pre-flight checklist signed by the team that built it is a nice touch. They obviously worked very hard on it as the level of detail is astounding. When the engines and the Dradis fire up just wow! Well worth the $ and well worth the long wait. Highly recomended if you're a fan of BSG. Thank you QMX!

Should have done this a while ago. Got mine a little over a month back. It is everything I had hoped for and more. If I have a complaint - and it would be a minor one - it would be that the canopy will not seat properly if it is set in the closed position. My guess is that is was not designed to be displayed that way anyway, so no big E. The Dradis is perfect. The detail on the rest of the model is exceptional as well. All in all, I'd have to say it was worth every dime.
