One of science fiction's most beloved spaceships isn't a gargantuan battlecruiser or a sleek starship cruising the galaxies. It's the workhorse Firefly-class transport, well past her prime with hardly a peashooter to defend herself, named Serenity.

QMx has recreated Serenity in 1:400 scale – about 8 inches long – out of dozens of parts, some as small as a millimeter. Her intricate design matches the Firefly TV series version of the ship in every detail: She was created using the show's actual CG files.

Dubbed the 10th Big Damn Hero by Joss Whedon, we knew our Little Damn Heroes™ wouldn't be complete with out her.

The first thing that struck me was the weight of her. She seems to be solidly built. The painting and details are awesome as well. I had no trouble setting up the shuttles. She looks amazing on my bookcase at home and gets a lot of oohs and aahs from my fellow browncoats.

A must have for any Browncoat! Have had mine for the better part of two months, and I just can't stop admiring it. I actually had to bring it back home from the office because too many officemates were picking it up and playing with it; everybody was admiring the craftsmanship of this LDH. The shuttles are troublesome as some others have mentioned, but nothing that a bit of custom wire-work couldn't fix. Otherwise very well built (save for the gorram buffer panel!)

Wow! The detail is amazing and for once a model I'm proud to show off! I might have to buy another so I can have one at work too. Really. Now if only I can get my cat to stop eyeing it on my desktop...

This is amazing. The detail is beautifully rendered. The base is solid and stable, if you're planning to display it, that is(it's tempting to keep taking it off and swooping it around). It's a bit darker than one would expect. The panels may break off, which isn't a problem with a little glue. I recommend it for any Browncoat because this is a wonderful li'l damn replica. And keep those tiny shuttles safe.

Ordered two of these, one for me and one for a new Browncoat. I must say the workmanship and detail are truely stunning! I have the Big Damn Replica also and the two look amazing together! Keep up the great work and keep flying!
